Dr. Craig A. Ford, Jr. joined the Candler faculty to lead seminars and ethics courses exploring the profound relationships between theological anthropology, queer theory, and modern morality. His teaching is grounded in a commitment to inclusive, liberative pedagogy that takes seriously the lived experiences of marginalized communities.

Appointed by Dean Chad Rohman of the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences (May 2024), Dr. Ford held the prestigious Lund-Gill Chair — an endowed chair established in 2003 to bring individuals of the highest moral and intellectual reputation to campus. He taught the honors theology course during the Spring 2025 semester and delivered the Annual Lund-Gill Lecture on April 7, 2025.

Located at the nation's only Catholic Historically Black College or University (HBCU), Dr. Craig A. Ford, Jr. teaches foundational courses at the IBCS, which draws students from around the country for intensive graduate-level study in Black Catholic theology and culture.
